“Our family managed to escape safely with our dog from the tsunami. We were staying at the evacuation centre. But dogs were not allowed in and we had to tie it outside. Knowing that our dog will be frozen to death if left alone outside, we took turns to stay outside at night holding the dog in our arms and wrapping ourselves in a blanket to keep warm.”
